FAQ'S

Northstar Teams uses a platform called DRIVN where we manage athletes progress and profiles, share resources and announcements and communicate frequently with parents and athletes.  Your email contact is required to create this profile but is also a necessity in keeping updated on important news and announcements from your program team. Messages will be sent frequently (about on a weekly basis) during the training season and are essential to read in their entirety.  Parents are responsible for ensuring downloading the DRIVN app and registering family contact information.

Team jackets can be purchased online and are distributed by the Northstar Team Foundation. Please go to the https://www.northstarteamfoundation.org/

All Teams programs are encouraged to purchase Team jackets. The Northstar Team Foundation is run by a Board of Directors and jackets are managed by parent volunteers. Please reference the website for all Team uniform questions.

Parent orientation is an opportunity to meet head coaches, discuss equipment needs, start designing season goals and competition schedule, and rekindle winter relationships with Team families. We encourage all Team families to attend a parent orientation. Orientation will be held in Truckee on November 14, 2020.

As a Team we always emphasize the importance of being prepared. Please plan on attending this event even if you have been part of the program in previous years. We will be working with individual programs with breakout sessions, guest speakers, season long competition schedules, and more.

The Northstar Team Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to supporting the ski and snowboard program. They raise funds for our dedicated hill space, athlete scholarships as well as support team coaches to pursue certifications. Please check the Northstar Team Foundation website for more information.
