Program Description
The All Mountain program is an introduction to the ski team environment with a focus on fun and all-mountain adventures. The All Mountain program daily routine will vary based on ability level, goals, and conditions. Athletes can expect to spend time on groomers, exploring wooded terrain, playing in the park, racing gates, or banging in the bumps.   Skiers will develop fundamental skiing techniques as well as social group skills, in a fun and safe environment. The All Mountain Team is the foundation of the Northstar Ski and Snowboard Team where you child will find comradery, athletic development, team work, and respect for the mountains that are our playground.
Skill Level:  At the start of the program athletes need to be able to link turns with confidence on “green terrain” accessed from chair lifts.  Athletes that ski in a “wedge” must be able to turn from the top to the bottom using “turn shape” to control their speed and come to a complete stop.  *Older athletes will be pushed to the highest level to prepare for try outs on the competitive Freeski, or Alpine racing programs.
Ages 5 - 11 (Age 5 by Dec. 31, 2016)
Program Times: 8:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
All Mountain Program Calendar
Competition: Athletes will have the opportunity to compete in our internal series called the Woodchuck Cup.  This series provides an opportunity to compete at Northstar with Team members  in slopestyle, moguls, banked slalom and an alpine race course.
Head Coach: Amy Tewksbury
Assistant Coach: TBA
