Tubing is a great activity for everyone - skiers, snowboarders, kids, teenagers and adults alike will enjoy the exhilarating ride down the hill. Tubes and riders are transported by tow lift to the top of the hill and tubers can slide down one at a time or in daisy chains. Tubing is located mid-mountain just above the Gondola. Tubing tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis only and are available for purchase at the Tickets & Season Pass Office in the Village at Northstar. NOTE: The Tubing Hill is now closed for the 2012-2013 winter season. See you next season! |
Please call Northstar at 1.800.GO.NORTH (1.800.466.6784) or 530.562.2267 for information.

Tubing Hill Facts
In order to offer the best experience for all tubers, the number of tubing tickets sold each hour is limited. Tubing tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis only and are available for purchase at the Tickets & Season Pass Office in the Village at Northstar.
All riders are required to be at least 42" in height, fit inside the tube AND be able to independently hold on to the handles on the tube. More than one person on a tube is NOT allowed - parents cannot ride with their child in the same tube. Parents may ride holding on to the child's separate tube down the hill. Saucers and/or sleds are not permitted in the Tubing Area.
First Hour: $30 per person
Where is the Tubing Hill?
The Tubing Hill is located at mid-mountain. When you exit the Gondola building, take the exit straight ahead past the Demo Tent (not the gangway on the right to the Day Lodge). Look straight up the hill and you’ll see the Tubing Center Yurt.
How many times can I go up the hill?
As many times as possible, in your hour slot. Typically, weather and snow conditions permitting, you can expect approximately 5 runs on the weekends, and more than that on weekdays. We also recommend you come early. The 10:00 a.m. slot usually has less people than the 2:00 p.m. slot.
What if I have a large group?
If you have a large group of more than 10 tubers, ask for the tubing supervisor at the Tubing Center and we’ll see if we need to make special arrangements for your group.
My children are old enough to tube on their own, but are under 18. Can I send them to the Tubing Yurt on their own to start tubing?
We require parents to sign a liability release form for all tubers under the age of 18. Please call 1.800.GO.NORTH (1.800.466.6784) or 530.562.2267 for more information.
