6. Build a reunion itinerary and a newsletter.  Send both through e-mail and snail mail to keep everyone informed.  Include maps and directions for out of town guests, weather information, airport info, etc.
7. Make final reservations- remember some family members will have to cancel, and others may decide to show up at the last minute.

Family Fun Tips at Northstar

1. Scenic Lift Rides
   Enjoy scenic chairlift rides for guests interested in sightseeing and hiking. Leashed dogs are welcome on the Gondola Express, in the cabins on the Tahoe Zephyr Express lift, and on hiking trails. Guided trail hikes are offered
   
   
2. Go on a Bike Ride
   Rent bikes and spend the afternoon on some of the most exciting lift accessed downhill mountain bike terrain.  Or rent a cruiser from Plaza Bikes and bike around town.
   
   
3. Spend the Day at the Recreation Center
   Arrive early to the Recreation Center  to claim the best spot to spend the day hanging out by the pools.  Access to the Recreation Center is only available to guests staying at Northstar® Resort.
   
   
4. Golf with the Family
   Book your tee time early for our 18-hole, Championship Golf Course and enjoy a refreshing and relaxing round of golf with your family.  Family Golf Clinics  are offered every Thursday at 4:00 p.m. starting July 3rd.
   
   
5. Challenge Your Kids to a Game of Tennis
   Challenge your kids to a tennis match at the Recreation Center.  Check out the weekly tennis activities available.
   
   
6. Village Cinema
   Enjoy Northstar’s Village Cinemas which offers popular Hollywood hits presented in ultra stereo or DTS. Two screens offer comfortable, elevated stadium seats with 96 seats in one theater and 45 in the other.
   
   
7. FREE Skating
   Lace up your skates and take a few spins around Northstar Resort’s 9,000 square foot skating rink.  There is no charge to skate; skate rentals are available for $5.
   
   
8. Shop for Sourvenir
   Shop for souvenir t-shirts at True North or Plaza Bikes in the Village or at the golf pro shop. 
   
   
9. Take advantage of FREE Shuttle Service
   Don’t worry about driving. Northstar offers convenient on-site shuttle service to lodging guests and self-park customers.  Night shuttle service will be offered hourly to and from Truckee and the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, servicing Northstar, as well as a Reno/Tahoe airport shuttle, the North Lake Tahoe Express.  » More on Shuttles

    Come experience the starry sky with star guide and poet Tony Berendsen, the President of the Nevada Science Coalition, for a unique and educational night under the stars. Check the dates and make your reservation in advance.
