Learning to snowboard at Northstar California is easy and fun with our first-of-its-kind learning program at Burton Snowboard Academy, specialized Burton Learn-to-Ride (LTR) snowboards, and sculpted smart terrain™ with small features.  For our more experienced riders Burton Snowboard Academy or Private Instructors can teach you new skills and tricks to take you to the next level.

Depending on your level and interest, Northstar has a variety of programs suited to your specific needs.

Burton Progression Park

Test gravity one inch at a time with terrain features specifically designed as an introductory step to freestyle terrain. The Burton Progression Park located on Sidewinder at the top of Vista Express.
