The Northstar Habitat Management Plan has three primary goals for responsible land use and natural resources management at Northstar.

1. The plan aims to maintain and enhance natural resource values at Northstar while still allowing for current and future planned land uses in a manner that is compatible with those values.
2. Develop habitat management and monitoring tools.
3. Recognize and enhance Northstar's contribution to natural resources conservation and management in the Martis Valley region.

The primary purpose of the Northstar Habitat Management Plan is to achieve these goals and provide a framework for long-term management, conservation, and monitoring of biological aresources at Northstar, while allowing for reasonable economic uses for development and recreational activities.
