The 7th Annual Beerfest & Bluegrass Festival will take place in the Village at Northstar on Saturday July 5, 2014 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. The festival will include beer tastings from dozens of breweries and live music from two premier bluegrass bands. Breweries will be featured on the Village Overlook. Guests who purchase a ticket will receive a commemorative pint glass and be able to sample the various beers. There will also be non-alcoholic beverages and a tasty barbeque available for purchase, as well as seating and games on the Village rink for the whole family to enjoy.

Young “rootsgrass” band Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellys has jumped into the forefront of today’s progressive roots music movement. Distinct vocals, tight harmonies, instrumental expertise, and creative arrangements are all essential characteristics of their unique sound. Instrumentally, they can turn on a dime, their arrangements showing a well-developed taste in music based on bluegrass traditions but frequently dipping into swing jazz and popular song craft. Their sound is deftly guided by the clarion vocals of lead singer Lindsay Lou.
Northstar will provide free shuttles to the train station in downtown Truckee departing Northstar at 6:00, 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. on July 5th. Night Rider will provide free shuttles to King's Beach departing Northstar at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. on July 5th.
