Through our experience, we have found that some questions pop up more often than others. In anticipation of these questions we have included this section to clarify some of the programs and services we offer.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend pulling in to the parking lot no later than 8:00 a.m.
If I have 10 skiers, 7 snowboarders and 3 cross country skiers, do I still qualify for group rates?
Of course! Any group of 20 people or more enjoying one of the many snow sports activities qualifies for group rates.
Not everyone is renting equipment; do we still receive the rental discount?
Absolutely. Even if there is only 1 person renting in your group of 20 or more, that 1 person will receive the discount.
Some people do not want to buy lunch coupons, can I purchase just a few or does everyone have to buy one?
You can purchase as many as you like, however many works for your group.
Does Northstar have any Freestyle Terrain Parks?
We not only have one of the Top Terrain Parks in Lake Tahoe, but the Nation! We have also been creating some cutting-edge terrain features as well as adding new boxes and rails to our parks.
Where do I pick up my tickets?
One of the benefits of sending in your completed pre-registration is that we can Fed-Ex the lift tickets and lunch vouchers right to your door. That saves your group time once they arrive. Group sales is located at the Gondola Building in the Village. The Group Coordinator will be there to help you with your tickets and other needs. The group leader will go in and make one payment to receive all the lift tickets.
Can I get bus transportation to and from Northstar?
Northstar offers several shuttle services from various Lake Tahoe locations.
How do I get to Northstar?
Northstar is located on Highway 267 between Truckee, CA and Lake Tahoe. For driving directions, click here.
What kind of weather can I expect?
Lake Tahoe's weather is excellent! Make sure everyone in your group dresses in layers so they can easily put on or take off clothes, depending on the weather. Mountain must-haves also include: sunscreen, lip balm and sunglasses or goggles. We also have current and forecast weather conditions on our website.
What are the lodging options at Northstar?

How do I register through Rentskis.com?
Rentskis.com websites are created for groups upon request. Once created, all group members who are renting equipment will register through their custom site. Upon registration, there will be a dropdown menu, please choose: *Resort = Northstar California and *Location = Village Ski and Board Rental Shop. All group members need to register 7 days in advance for their equipment to be prepared for arrival. Anyone renting equipment will need to provide a credit or debit card at the rental shop for a $0.00 deposit. It is mandatory that all renters arrive at the rental shop prior to 8:30am.
