Explore the dark skies above Northstar California on a snowshoe tour featuring telescopic viewing with Star Guide and poet, Tony Berendsen. The 2 – 2.5 hour guided tour begins at the Cross Country, Telemark and Snowshoe Center at 5 p.m. The group will meander through the serene forest while observing the starry sky above, ultimately concluding the tour at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe. Each event will include a laser tour of the cosmos using state-of-the-art Celestron telescopes. Guests will have the chance to unwind beside a fire pit while sipping beverages. Dogs on leashes are welcome to join-in on the fun.

The cost is $63* per adult and $45* per child 10 through 12. We have limited the ages of children to 10 and above to keep the group moving at a steady pace. If you have little ones, please look into our Family Afternoon Snowshoe Tours which are geared to the younger ages. Reservations can be made online through Eventbrite.com. Reservations are highly recommended since this event sells out on a regular basis. Tours will take place snow or shine and all participants must wear warm, waterproof boots. You are welcome to bring your own snowshoes, or they are available to rent for $21 per pair.
